The SPENDonLIFE Scholarship is awarded to up to 10 individuals. The awards range from $500 to $5,000.

We are in the process of setting up an online application process. In the meantime, please visit http://students.spendonlife.com/apply-for-scholarship for instructions on how to send us your application.

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following requirements

  • Must have been rejected for a student loan due to negative credit
  • High school or college student (graduate or undergraduate level)
  • 17-25 years of age
  • Legal resident of the United States
  • Enrolled (or soon to be enrolled) at a Two-Year or Four-Year U.S. College or Graduate School

We are interested in who you are as a person and why going to college is important to you. Applicants are asked to tell write an essay about the following topic. "How has the slowed economy personal affected you, either financially or emotionally?" Maximum of 500 words. Award winners will be chosen from the entries by the SPENDonLIFE staff.

The SPENDonLIFE scholarships are rewarded yearly. Applications for the 2009 / 2010 college year must be submitted before June 15th, 2009.

The scholarship monies will be paid directly to the college the winner is enrolled at.
